Vans is teaming up with Austin's Nice Kicks shoe store at the South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival. The duo has joined forces on a pop-up shop called Vulcanized Vinyl that starts slinging sneakers today. Sneaker freaks and music fans will be stoked on the re-release of five of Vans' most popular music collaboration shoes ever--The Slayer Old Skool, the Descendents Authentic, the Bad Religion Sk8-Hi, the Iron Maiden Trooper slip-on and the Social Distortion Sk8-Hi.

“We think that SXSW’s rabid music crowd will really love the band collaboration re-releases we have on tap," said Vans Vice President of Marketing Doug Palladini.
If you are in Austin today, pick up a pair of Slayer kicks and stay for the party. Vans is premiering "No Room for Rockstars," the Vans Warped Tour movie followed by performances by Pennywise and Forever Came Calling.
Be there or be square.
The kicks are only available at the Vulcanized Vinyl pop-up shop and are on sale through March 18. The retail space will be open noon to midnight at 313 E. 6th Street.
