TRANSIT: The Los Angeles Shoe Show Fall 2012
by Kristie Griffith March 15th, 2012 at 11:19 AM
ShoesTV headed to downtown Los Angeles for TRANSIT, the Los Angeles Shoe Show. We checked out the upcoming Fall 12 lines from hot designers like VC Signature, Desigual, and many more. We also met fresh faces who are new to the shoe game but who are bringing some innovative and never-before-seen designs to the table.
We met Podiatrist and first-time shoe designer, Dr. Michele Summers, and learned all about her new line, 34 Minutes. She chose the name because 34 minutes is the amount of time women stand in high heels before their feet begin to hurt. Summers set out to create shoes that can be worn all day, look hot and feel great. I tried on a pair and they felt amazing! There have built in arch cushions and they don't hurt! Keep your eye on 34 Minutes. The shoes hit stores in fall and I predict we will be hearing a lot about this new shoe designer. Who better to design women's shoes than a female podiatrist?

After talking to the doc, we headed over to look at the current VC Signature Spring 2012 Collection. VC Signature is the higher-end line of Vince Camuto. ShoesTV went to TRANSIT for the fall shoes, but we couldn't help admiring the gold studded sandals, strappy platforms and bright colors of the current line.

Boot tapas, out of North Carolina, is a new brand with a unique take on cowboy boots. The boots are sold separately from the tops of the boots, which literally zip on and can be interchanged with dozens of different tops. The tops come in wild prints like peacock and cheetah, glitzy metallics, art prints and many more. The ladies in Dallas are said to be big fans!

Boot tapas have interchangeable tops!
