Current Collection: Nicholas Kirkwood

TGIF, girls! For your weekend shopping trips or daydreams, ShoesTV is turning our shoe spotlight on our current collection pick of the week. We love Nicholas Kirkwood's Spring/Summer 2012 Collection and have picked out some highlights to share with you.

Kirkwood has made headlines this week after he made critical comments about Kate Middleton's style (and shoes). 

“It’d be great if she did wear [my] shoes," Kirkwood told ?? "She just wears too much high street stuff. I know she’s trying to be democratic, but I don’t know how many pairs of LK Bennett you can wear. She does occasionally come out and is wearing [Alexander] McQueen or something like that. It’s like, ‘Do that more! You’re meant to be a princess-y type of person, so act like one!"

Kirkwood insists that his comments were taken the wrong way. He explained that Middleton has had a huge impact on fashion in the UK. “Of course, there is nothing that I would like more than for her to wear my shoes. My comments have been taken out of context," Kirwood said.

Don’t worry Nick--we believe you, and we love your shoes. With that being said, here are our top five picks from Nicholas Kirkwood's Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Our first pick is a modern take on a classic shoe. This Mary Jane-style pump combines a classic white with a neon heel for a perfect twist for the current neon trend.

2. The shoe known as 12S0628B12.

Kirkwood keeps the neon going with this tourqouise pump. Accented with the checkered heel and just a hint of pink, we absolutely adore these heels!

3. The shoe known as 12S0673A17.

These peep-toe stilettos are stunning! The classic style combined with the polka dot platform and heel make this shoe a perfect addition to any outfit!

4. The shoe known as 12S0721S04.

Kirkwood takes a classic shoe design and adds his own twist with this floral blue pattern. This shoe is perfect for a night out on the town or a day at the park and it's a great addition to the Spring/Summer line.

5. The shoe known as: 12S0245A21.

This shoe is an impeccable combination with the pink stiletto and yellow heel. Not to mention the flower to accent everything. We have no words for how much we love these shoes.
